With his 6th crop of calves arriving in 2012, Eclipse continues to impress more and more each year. It is very rewarding for us as the positive comments are continuing to come in all the way from Arkansas to Sweden to Alberta and from many of our customers here in Ontario.  Eclipse has proven to add outcross polled genetics, calving ease, awesome disposition, performance, pigmentation and fertility.  He was tested in 2011 to be a non-diluter.

Now that Eclipse’s daughters are entering production and providing their own track record, we can confidently state that Eclipse is one of the few bulls in the breed that is strong for both calving and maternal calving ease traits.

Eclipse was 9 years in the making and certainly worth the time and money we spent in development.  There is no doubt in our mind that Eclipse is among the elite sires available, be it horned or polled in our Simmental breed today.   Eclipse is still walking for his owner, David Lyons. We have a  limited amount of Eclipse semen left available – EU qualified and stored at Eastgen.
